The ideal chocolate dessert?
Italian Chocolate Affogato Brownie.
A unfortunately not very photogenic dessert.
but it's rich, semi-sweet, piping hot, chocolate-chip loaded square of gooey homemade chocolate brownie,
topped with super-rich semi-sweet ultra-dark gooey and creamy homemade chocolate ice cream,
sprinkled with crunchy 1/8inch sized fresh roasted peanuts,
drizzled with hot, homemade, sticky caramel with that confectionery deep brown glow,
and drenched in two tablespoons freshly-ground, freshly brewed, creamy, black-as-soot, Cuban double-shot espresso, the kind that's so bitter it makes you jump at first sip.
While eating, do not fail to savor the blend of crunchy, gooey, smooth, creamy, cold, hot, and sticky. Close your eyes. Think... chocolate.

ReplyDeleteI didn't actually make that particular chocolate rose, but I agree it looks wonderful! If you read my blog more you'll find I love making roses (especially roses). You can email me if you want my recipe for chocolate modelling clay (or play-doh). It's extremely pliable, soft, and tasty! If you like cake decorating it's very useful and easy to make!
